Rock Band 3 para 2010. Podría usar tecnología Natal. Quizás haya, además, otro juego dedicado a un grupo.

MCVUK.com recently interviewed Scott Guthrie, of MTV games, who had this to say:

MCV: So for those tent pole releases, what happens after The Beatles game – what’s coming in 2010? Another major artist game? Or Rock Band 3?

SG: We’re exploring both – and possibly will do both. The Harmonix development team are working on what is effectively the next game, or ‘Rock Band 3’. We aren’t standing still – we will keep moving into new areas and look at new technologies that our platform holder partners are also developing, such as Project Natal from Microsoft. We’re working with them to pull some things together. So it’s pretty exciting time for the future of our music game business.

¿Ganas de generar hype o estamos realmente ante una nueva dirección para la saga?

Dhani Harrison, hijo del beatle George Harrison y miembro del grupo "thenewno2" dice que no sólo está trabajando en Rock Band 3, sino que quiere llevar la franquicia a una nueva dirección.

"Estoy trabajando en Rock Band 3 y haciendo que los periféricos sean más reales para que la gente pueda aprender a tocar música mientras juega. Dadme un par de años, sucederá."

Ya es oficial: Rock Band 3 para finales de año, navidades, presumiblemente.

Harmonix is developing Rock Band 3 for worldwide release this holiday season! The game, which will be published by MTV Games and distributed by Electronic Arts, will innovate and revolutionize the music genre once again, just as Harmonix did with the original Rock Band, Rock Band 2 and The Beatles: Rock Band. A ver qué novedades trae.

La fusión con Dj Hero.

Pues el otro día viendo un video de DJ Hero vi que se podía tocar la guitarra en algunas canciones, en plan actuación en vivo como hacen algunos artistas mientras el dj pincha. Fue un buen detalle, aunque es anecdótico, y creo que sólo pulsabas 3 botones como mucho.

Empiezan a juntarse los rumores de canciones que irían en el juego.

Algunas son:

Stone Temple Pilots, no se sabe la canción aún.
Night Ranger - Sister Christian
Ministry - Jesus Built My HotRod
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

Algunos medios de la prensa de entre los que van a asistir al E3 están recibiendo invitaciones para un evento ese día, y las invitaciones llevan ese logo de Rock Band, vamos, que parece el logo oficial para lo que será la presentación del juego.

En la invitación prometen que RB3 volverá a revolucionar una vez más la forma en que la gente juega los juegos musicales.

Entre bastidores se comenta que Harmonix apostará por un estilo más realista, ni idea de si visualmente o jugablemente, con las rumoreadas lecciones de música. Ya se verá
